When you were buying your home, you did have an option for a garage keyless entry, but it was a bit pricey.  You can get the same setup with a few minutes of your time and a $50 (at the time of this post) purchase from Amazon.com.  Here’s the Keypad that I successfully setup for our garage door:  https://a.co/d/5glSc7s.

Once you have your keypad, here are the easy steps to set it up:

  1. On the back of your garage door opener, press and release the LEARN button on the garage door opener (see picture below). The LED will light up.
  2. Now on your new keypad, enter a 4-digit PIN of your choice on your new keypad.
  3. Press the ENTER button on the keypad until the opener light bulb blinks or you hear two clicks.
  4. Test by keying in the PIN you just programmed and pressing the ENTER button on the keypad.
