The first thing I’d recommend adding to your media enclosure is a key and lock! Before we put one on ours in the laundry room, we kept having issues with the door popping open at random—not ideal. Adding the lock solved the problem completely, and it only took a few minutes to install. Now, we don’t have to worry about it accidentally opening, and it really cleans up the look. Here’s how it looks after installing!

I found the best key assembly was this one from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0014ZRGXE/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The next task was tackling the ‘wires everywhere’ approach that Taylor Morison had left us with inside the panel! It was a bit of a mess, with cables crisscrossing every which way, making it hard to find any patch cable quickly. So, I decided it was time to organize. After some searching, I found a few great items (below) on Amazon that were perfect for tidying up that small space. Velcro, a new power strip, shelf mounts, and even a small shelf did wonders in keeping everything neat and manageable. Now, it’s way easier to see what’s what, and the panel looks a whole lot better, too!
